In Soana Yoga, we practice Hatha Yoga with a focus on breathing techniques "pranayamas" during the physical yoga poses "asanas" to easily reach a meditative state. This practice increases the vital force energy "prana" and facilitates its flowing into every cell of the body while detoxing and liberating some of your deep blockages.
In Soana Yoga, we also teach Ayurveda - " The Science of Life" in Sanskrit. This 5,000-year-old system of holistic natural healing originated in India's ancient Vedic culture. Ayurveda is a complete medical system that includes observation; diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease; detoxification and rejuvenation of the body; surgery; and herbal medicine. In Ayurveda, balance is the natural order; imbalance is disorder. Health is order; disease is disorder. Ayurveda encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in our life: the right lifestyle, routine, diet, thinking according to our unique personal pattern of energy or constitution. In Ayurveda, treatment modalities are natural and personalized with the use of specific herbs & spices, massages, and yoga practice (poses, breathing techniques, meditation).
